Welcome back to Fuel Your Body Friday!
Thank you to Baby Brain Organics for partnering with me this month to share these great smoothie recipes that are Dyer Kid approved (almost as tough as Mikey, did I just totally date myself there? Mikey likes it? No? Respond in the comments if you get me).
Baby Brain Organics is run by Amy who is also a mom and by my standards, a health guru. They make BABY and KIDS nutrient boosters that you can add to your kids’ regular meals, which makes getting healthy food into them (the kids) a lot easier and meal time a lot more enjoyable, for me anyway.
Last week we shared a delicious Watermelon Whale Smoothie chosen by my watermelon enthusiast child. This week’s choice is the Bees & Berries Smoothie. We’ll call today backward day and give you the punch line first. Not only was it requested the very next day, it has been requested nearly every day since and was even requested as a ‘dessert’. So this smoothie is sure to get everyone guzzling down their nutrients any time of day.
1 cup blueberries/strawberries/raspberries/blackberries
1 ripe banana (ideally frozen)
3 Tbsp Baby Brain Organics
1 Tbsp honey
1 knob of ginger
1 cup almond milk
Directions: Blend, enjoy!
Makes 4 smoothies
